Energy efficient window replacement make for an ideal investment. They help increase your home’s comfort levels, lessening your reliance on your HVAC units for more energy savings.

Energy Efficient window replacement is essential to older homes!

Glazing

This refers to the glass used in a window. The number of layers does not equate to better energy efficiency, but does affect a window’s insulation against the outdoors.

Our San Antonio window replacement comes with dual-pane glass. We make sure to optimize the airspace between the two panes for maximum energy efficiency. If there is not enough space in between, then the benefit of air space is reduced, affecting energy efficiency. If the glass panes are too far apart, then convection can occur inside and result in an increase in heat.

Spacers

These separate sheets of glass help increase a window’s insulating properties. Design and material are important to ensure condensation and heat loss do not occur. Our windows use a low-conductivity spacer made of stainless steel. It is strong and resists heat better compared with other materials. This keeps the glass stable while providing insulation.

Gas Fills

Glazing layers are filled with inert gases like Argon and Krypton to improve insulation and reduce heat transfer. We use Argon to fill the airspace of our glass, contributing to its thermal resistance, but on a smaller scale compared with low-e coating.

Frame Material

Different window materials offer different degrees of insulation.
