They are a faith-based company known for their Amish craftsmanship and 19 core values, including integrity, generosity, honesty, and compassion.

ProVia is a company that puts heart and soul into their work, and they care more about their clientele and outreach than the profits they make. If the integrity of the products you purchase is important to you, ProVia is right up your alley.

They have four different window collections with almost unlimited options to fit your exact vision.

What are ProVia Endure windows made of? And what can you customize?

When looking for replacement windows, one of the most important qualities is the material of the window. This will determine how durable the window is, how well it will withstand the climate, and how long it will last in your home.

Along with the material of the window, the style of the window is also important to choose the right one for you. You want to know a window can give you the look and feel that you want.

Material and durability of the window

ProVia Endure windows are made of high-performing vinyl with insulating properties. This ENERGY-STAR certified vinyl window is made of SunShield vinyl, engineered not to crack, chip, or warp under high temperatures.

Traditional vinyl windows can be known for misshaping and cracking when exposed to alternating high heat and low temperatures. SunShield vinyl is made to specifically combat this, making it an incredibly durable window.

The vinyl frame is also low-maintenance, resistant to peeling and blistering to maintain a fresh and sleek appearance.

What customization options do you have?

The window shape, color, and hardware are key design elements of your new windows you want to customize. You want to know that a window will give you the exact look you want to fit into the aesthetic of your home.

Here we will outline all the customizable elements for the ProVie Endure window.

Window shape options

The shape of the window will determine how you want the window to look and operate. Single and double-hung windows have sashes that move up and down, slider windows open and close horizontally, casement windows open outward by a cranking mechanism, and picture windows don’t open at all.

The ProVia Endure window is available in six different shapes and styles: double-hung, slider, casement, awning, hopper, picture, garden, and bay and bow.

You can also create a custom window shape, like a single-hung with a circle top, to match your home’s architectural style.

Colors and finishes

This window comes with four exterior vinyl finishes and three interior wood finish options

For exterior vinyl finishes, you can choose between white, beige, sandstone, and classic bronze.

For interior wood finishes, your options are classic oak, dark oak, and cherry oak. You can also choose to have a white, beige, or sandstone vinyl interior to match the exterior vinyl.

Overall, the ProVia Endure window provides classic and traditional finish options for your window.

Hardware options

For double-hung, single-hung, and slider windows, the locking mechanism is a latch that switches from left to right to lock and unlock the window.

Seven double-hung window locks in different finishes: white, beige, sandstone, coppertone, antique brass, satin nickel, and flat bronze.

For casement and awning windows, the locking mechanism is a swivel that swings outward and twists to open and close the window.

Seven casement window locks in different finishes: white, beige, sandstone, coppertone, antique brass, satin nickel, and flat bronze.

The hardware is available in four standard finishes and three optional, stylistic finishes: white, beige, sandstone, coppertone, antique brass, satin nickel, and flat bronze.

Divided lites and grid patterns

The divided lites on a window refer to the style for the grid system. Typically, for divided lites, you can have a raised bevel detail on the grid, a smooth finish, or the grid between the panes of the glass.

For the ProVia Endure window, you can choose between internal divided lites in between the panes or simulated divided lites, where the grid pattern is on the outside of the window.

Three images that describe and show up-close simulated-divided lite patterns in a window in this order: internal grids triple pane, internal grids double pane, simulated divided lite. Each image has a short description below.

For simulated divided lites, there are three different styles for the grids: contoured, pencil, and flat.

Three close-up images of a T-shaped window grid against a black background. The first is wood and contoured, the second is golden and rounded like pencils, and the third is white and flat.

The finish of your grid patterns comes in the same colors as the frame, so you can match the frame to the grid.

There are eight grid pattern options for double-hung windows and eight options for casement windows, all creating various rectangular patterns in the window that can create simple and more complex designs.

Glass options

ProVia offers elaborate glass designs for their windows that allow you to add artistic flair to your windows. There are almost endless glass design options and patterns, as well as specially stained glass.

You can also add privacy to your windows by choosing one of five different types of privacy glass. Overall, if you’re looking for detailed glass design options to showcase your windows anywhere in your home, the ProVia Endure may be right for you.

If you’re looking for a window with classic styles and colors but elaborate glass and grid design capabilities, this window may be exactly what you’re looking for.

The downside of ProVia Endure windows

While the ProVia Endure window offers various styles and design options, there are some limitations to what you can do with this window on the basic level.

If you’re looking for more adventurous finish options for both the frame and hardware, then this window may not be the one for you.

If you’re planning to paint or stain over the finish once your windows are installed, you also risk damaging the original finish, and it’s likely the outcome will not be as professional as you hoped, as is true for all windows.

Looking at the full picture, the ProVia Endure window has the ability to give you a classic yet stylish look with many customizable elements. However, if you are looking for a window to design from scratch, then this window may not be the one for you.

Is the ProVia Endure window easy to operate?

The ease of operation of your window is an important part of the design and functionality. The style of window you choose will affect how the window moves and operates.

Because of the craftsmanship of the ProVia Endure window, there is no questioning how easy it is to open and close the window. No matter the style of the window, you will have no problem opening and closing the window.

Double-hung and single-hung windows allow you to not only slide the sashes up and down but tilt them inwards. This makes it very easy for you to clean the outside of your window and keep it looking fresh.

Casement windows typically have a crank locking mechanism that opens the window outward. Picture windows do not open at all.

It may be more difficult to clean the outside of a casement or picture window on a second story, but these styles are beautiful to showcase the scenery and let in the natural light.

How energy efficient is the ProVia Endure window?

How energy efficient a window is is another key quality to review when looking for replacement windows. You want your windows to protect your home and maintain its internal temperature, no matter how hot or cold it gets outside.

When talking about energy efficiency, there are technical measurements that tell us how much external heat is blocked from coming into your home. We will define those terms here.

U-Factor

This measures how well a window can insulate. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the U-Factor for windows generally ranges from 0.20 – 1.20.

The more your window can insulate, the better your house will keep heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer.

The ProVia Endure has a U-Factor of 0.27.

Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC)

This measures the amount of solar heat that comes through a window, ranging from 0 – 1. The U.S. Department of Energy’s consumer resource, Energy Saver, says the lower the SHGC, the less heat from the sun comes through a window, helping your home to stay cool during a hot summer (and fall and spring if you’re in Texas).

The ProVia Endure has an SHGC rating of 0.21.

Air Infiltration Rating

This measures “how many cubic feet of air passes through a window per minute in relation to the size of the window,” according to a blog post by window manufacturer Marvin. They recommend that a window have numbers lower than 0.30 cubic feet per meter (cfm)/ft2.

Just like heat rays passing through a window, the air infiltration rating has to do with insulation. The better your window is insulated, the less air will come and go as it pleases into your home.

The ProVia Endure has an air infiltration rating of less than 0.30 cfm/ft.2

All of these measurements combined ultimately determine how energy efficient a window will be. Overall, the ProVia Endure has exceptional energy-efficient ratings, meaning it will insulate your home well and maintain its internal temperature.

Reviewing the warranty of the ProVia Aeris window

The warranty of your new window is the final characteristic to review. If something breaks or is defective in your window, you want to know what the manufacturer will provide.

ProVia offers a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you live in your home. This covers manufacturing defects for a lifetime.

The window frame and basic hardware are covered for a lifetime. Interior paints and stains and interior blinds are covered for 10 years. Glass breakage due to manufacturing defects is covered for a lifetime.

If something breaks in your window and is warranted under the contract, ProVia will repair the broken part or provide a replacement product.

When reviewing your warranty, it’s important to look at the details and understand the inclusions and exclusions. It can be hard to translate the fine print. However, you want to know what you can do if your product is defective or breaks.
