Viewed from over someone's shoulder, the arms of two people leaning against a table looking at papers. The person on the right is wearing an orange long-sleeve shirt and has a pen in their hand up to the paper.

When going into a home remodeling project, the situation can feel nerve-wracking. You know it is a big investment, and the last thing you want is to feel pressured by a salesperson to buy something you’re not ready for.

It’s no secret that the world of sales has a negative reputation. When you go into an appointment, you want to feel like your consultant is there to help you with your dream project, not just take your money.

Southwest Exteriors has been a San Antonio-based home remodeling contractor for over 30 years. We know the anxieties you feel as a homeowner during a consultation, and we continuously improve our practices to make the process as easy and convenient as possible.

Our goal during a consultation with you is to educate you. We want you to make the best decision for you and your home, whether that includes us or not. This means that we will never pressure you to make a decision and will do all we can to help guide you through the process.

This article will outline the pricing model Southwest Exteriors offers. Whether you’re considering working with us or have already scheduled a consultation, you will learn more about the timeline we offer to pay for your project and why we made it this way.

After reading, you will know how long your quote for your project is good for and understand why we have created these options for you.

How long is a quote for your project good for?

At the end of your consultation, you’ll get an accurate quote for the cost of your project, down to the penny.

When your design consultant leaves your home, you’ll get a project proposal that includes the details of your project, such as design choices you’ve made and what parts of your home are included, and a price that is valid for seven days and 30 days.

The seven-day price will be slightly more discounted than the 30-day price. This isn’t because we are trying to entice you to commit to your project as soon as possible. It’s simply because, in the home remodeling industry, the cost of materials goes up daily.

This means that the longer you wait to start your project, the more it will cost you, no matter if you decide in 30 days or longer.

While we’d love to give you a year to think about your project, the price would increase over time. The last thing we want is for you to budget for a project only to find it be more than you expected.

How can I pay for my project?

At Southwest Exteriors, we offer four different payment plans for your project, from paying full in cash to low-interest plans. We offer these options because we want to be affordable to anyone who wants to work with us.We know we are not the least expensive contractor out there, but we strive to serve everyone with love and excellence to give you the project you deserve.

1. Pay half now and half later

The first option is to pay for half of your project when you accept the proposal and pay the second half once the project is complete.

2. No-interest payment plan

The second option is a monthly payment plan with 0% interest for six months to five years.

3. Low-interest payment plan

The third option is a low-interest monthly payment plan from 2.99% interest from five to 10 years.

4. Low credit payment plan

If your credit score is below 680, we work with an outside loaner, CreditNovo, to provide you a low-interest loan for your project.

How is this pricing model different from other contractors?

It is not uncommon for many home remodeling contractors to offer a significantly discounted price if you commit and sign to your project the day of the sale. This creates a high-pressure situation that may cause you to commit to a project that you’re not ready for.

This is why it is important not to be blinded by a low price. While cost is one of the biggest deciding factors for a home improvement project, it is important to weigh everything else that goes into your project.

In this industry, you will never get the highest quality project for the lowest price. If you are looking for a cheap and quick fix, then going with the contractor that offers the lowest price might be the best option for you.

However, if you’re looking for an exterior solution that is meant to last your life for as long as you live in your home, you are going to have to pay more for a high-quality product, service, and installation.

It is important you have ample time to consider all factors before committing to your project, and deciding on the same day just doesn’t allow this to happen. This is why we have created the 7 and 30 day pricing model that gives you plenty of time to think through your project and what you want and feel confident when you decide to work with us.

Ensuring you have enough time to think about your project

Southwest Exteriors offers a seven-day and 30-day price for your project to allow you plenty of time to think about your project while also getting the best pricing available.

A home remodeling project is a high cost, and you want to be sure you choose the right contractor that will meet your needs and expectations for your project.

Feeling comfortable with your contractor is key to a successful project. You want to make sure you can trust them and feel confident in their work before deciding to work with them.

With Southwest Exteriors, we never want you to feel pressured into a sale. During your consultation, we want to educate you on all your options and help guide you to the best decision. However, we will never shove any product down your throat.
