Awning
Awning windows are hinged at the top and open from the bottom. Ideal for rainy days, these windows keep the rain out while letting the fresh air in. Great for tight spaces because they open outwards and give extra ventilation.
Double Hung
The most popular window for homeowner’s, the Double Hung has 2 sashes that open and
close vertically. One benefit of the two sashes is that cool air is allowed to come in the bottom while hot air escapes through the top, creating natural convection. The tilt-in feature also makes it easy to clean these windows from the inside of your home.
Picture
Picture windows are perfect if you want an unobstructed view, more natural lighting, and a completely airtight frame. These windows do not open, but create a beautiful opening to let the outside light and scenery in.
Gliding
Similar to a double hung window, gliding windows have two sashes that slide horizontally. With a moving panel that slides right to left or left to right, these windows are easy to open, big enough for an emergency evacuation, and ideal next to walkways or patios.
Bow/Bay
Bow and Bay windows are either angled or curved combinations of windows that extend outward. This style of window maximizes the view, which allows for more room and additional natural lighting. These are large elegant windows that really stand out on a home.
